The Effect of Oviposition Time on Egg Properties of Layer Pure Line

In this study, White Layer Pure Line that housing as individual cage system at the Poultry Research Institute in Ankara was used. Eggs obtained from 24, 28, 32, 36- and 40-weeks old eggs were collected 3 times a day in the morning (10:00), noon (12:00) and evening (15:00). On a total of 438 eggs; Shape Index, Egg weight (g), Albumen height (mm), Roche scale, Haugh unit, Egg quality, Shell strength (N) and Shell thickness (Micron) features are emphasized. The effect of different oviposition time was found significant on the Egg weight (g), Albumen height (mm) and Shell strength (N) (P<0.01). However; Shape index, Roche scale, Haugh unit, Egg quality and Shell thickness (micron), were not affected by different oviposition time (P>0.05).
